Why did LONGi launch the Hi-MO X6 Max Guardian (Anti Humidity & Heat Design) product?

LONGi identified moisture and heat as core factors affecting the degradation of solar modules through in-depth analysis of user pain points. The issue of moisture and heat is becoming increasingly prevalent with climate change, and it is a concern continuously monitored by international standards organizations, authoritative testing agencies, and international academic forums regarding the performance decay of photovoltaics in moist and hot environments and solutions to mitigate it. In moist and hot environments, the degradation of modules accelerates, leading to issues such as leakage, encapsulant yellowing and aging, and module failure. These problems can significantly reduce the power generation capacity of the modules and even pose the risk of major disasters. In 2021, LONGi recognized that the accelerated degradation of traditional modules under moist and hot conditions compromised customer value. This insight led to specialized research and product development. In 2022, LONGi innovatively developed the HPBC cell technology to address the challenges of moisture and heat. A breakthrough in moisture and heat-resistant high-barrier encapsulation technology was achieved in 2023, and by 2024, the Guardian (Anti Humidity & Heat Design) bifacial dual-glass product was successfully mass-produced. This product demonstrates superior reliability in moist and hot environments, delivering greater value to users.
